New Small Business Grants - Apply By November 17
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation has launched the Small Business Hurricane Recovery grant program in partnership with American Express to support small businesses impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
The program will provide $5 million in funding, distributing $5,000 grants to 1,000 eligible small businesses across the Southeast to support their recovery and help them build resilience against future disasters.
Eligible small businesses can apply now until Sunday, November 17, 2024, at 11:59 PM ET.

Grant Description:
This grant offers immediate relief grants of up to $25,000 to very small businesses in Dogwood’s 18 counties that have been severely impacted by Hurricane Helene and that have less than $1 million in annual revenue.
Key Dates and Deadlines:
Apply by November 27 to be considered in Round 1 -- we encourage you to apply as soon as you can. Applicants who advance to the second round of evaluation will be contacted to provide additional information about their business.
Eligible Counties (Dogwood Health Trust 18 county service area):
For-profit businesses physically located in the Qualla Boundary and the following counties in Western North Carolina: Avery, Buncombe, Burke, Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, Swain, Transylvania, and Yancey.

WART PSA for Blue Ridge Music Trails of North Carolina benefit concert
The Blue Ridge Music Trails of North Carolina is holding a benefit concert for artists. Headlining the show is the chart-topping quintet Unspoken Tradition. Their music is influenced by their Western and Central North Carolina lives and their roots in traditional and new grass.
Tickets will be available in advance and at the door. A portion of the proceeds from this event will support the Blue Ridge Music Trails artists, with the other portion going towards local Black Mountain charities of White Horse’s choice. Together, we continue to support our communities.
